Do the Right Things, Not Everything

True productivity isn’t about how many hours you work – it’s about the impact of your efforts. It’s not about doing everything, but doing the right things.
Great. Now, how do you figure that out?
On the Social Capitalist, bestselling author and marketing expert Jeff Hayzlett explained the specific questions he asks to keep his team focused on only the right things:
In everything that we do, I constantly ask my team, “well, who’s the customer?” Meaning, when we’re having discussions about we’ve got to do this, well, who’s the customer, who’s the performer, what are the conditions of satisfaction? And if we know what they are, we know exactly what we have to perform on, and we’re very clear in that process about what needs to get done. So when I ask, “what’s our condition of satisfaction that we’re trying to get accomplished?,” that tells me exactly what I need to do, and I don’t need to do all this other stuff that everybody’s talking about and spending a lot on. I need to focus.

In order to do that, having a clear goal is very important. I read a book called "Outwitting the Devil". 98% of people in this world drift....Which means they don't know what they do in their lives.
